The portal does the league's paperwork for you. Players register their own teams, results are read from screenshots, points are added up automatically, and Discord posts go out by themselves. Your job is to check and decide: confirm teams, confirm results, rule on reports and penalties.
Three things to remember:
- Nothing is ever deleted. Mistakes are fixed by undoing or correcting, and the portal keeps a note of who did what and why. So you can't break anything by trying.
- When the portal refuses something, it tells you why in plain words. Read the red message: it usually says exactly what to fix.
- Players never see anything until it's confirmed. A team in review, a game being read, a report being decided: all private until you say so.
Staff and Head Staff
There are two levels. Menus marked HEAD in the sidebar are for Head Staff only.
| What | Staff | Head Staff |
|---|---|---|
| See registrations, players, flags, reports, the Outbox | Yes | Yes |
| Resolve flags (names that didn't match) | Yes | Yes |
| Confirm or reject teams, assign slots | Yes | |
| Record results | Yes | |
| Penalties, DQs, rule on reports | Yes | |
| Seasons, Discord settings, adding staff | Yes |
Adding someone as staff: they sign in once at Staff sign-in with Discord (they'll see "you're not staff yet", that's fine). Then a Head Staff member opens Staff, finds them, and gives them a role.
Practise first
A practice season works exactly like a real one, but players never see it on the site, and its Discord posts only go to the bot-testing channel. It can run at the same time as the real season. Use it to learn, and to try anything you're unsure of.
Practice 1 is set up for you with the real Season 10 Tier 1 teams and players (with made-up account numbers). 22 teams are confirmed in their real slots, so real Season 10 screenshots read correctly; 3 teams are waiting for you to verify.
- Pick Practice 1 in the season box at the top of any screen.
- Registrations: verify the 3 waiting teams (REBELS, OMENS, EXOTIC ESPORTS). OMENS has only 5 players, so its roster-size check should fail: decide what to do.
- Slots: give them slots 19, 23 and 24.
- Seasons: set day dates (make Day 1 today), then start the season (Registration, then Active).
- Results: record a Tier 1 game from Season 10 screenshots. Ask Tristan for a set.
- Penalties: record a banned-weapon rule break, then undo it.
- Watch the post arrive in the bot-testing channel, and in the Outbox.
Before a season
- Create the season on Seasons. It starts in "setup".
- Set the day dates under Day dates on the same screen. Players can only report rule breaks on the day, and room details post at 20:00 on the day, so the dates must be set before Day 1.
- Check Discord on Discord: every channel filled in, including Room details and Staff alerts (a staff-only channel where new rule-break reports appear), the check channels category, and every role (Create missing roles makes any that are missing). Test mode on while you check, then off for the season. Fields marked "Not used yet" can wait.
- Open registration on Seasons. Captains can now register at the public Register page.
- When registration closes and slots are done: start the season (Active). Results can only be recorded while a season is active.
Registration
Captains register their team and players on the site. Each player then links their own Discord at the public Link page; they must do this before Day 1 to play.
On Registrations, pick a team from the list. Its roster and a checklist of 12 checks open beside it (below it on a phone). The portal decides most of them itself and keeps them up to date as rosters change and players link Discord; those are marked "automatic" with what it found. The ones that need you are shown first. The 12 checks:
- Roster size (6 to 7)
- Region eligibility
- Device compliance
- Clan tag consistency
- Team name lock
- Multi-squad rule
- Discord linked
- Discord account age
- Known bad actors
- Tier 1 player cap
- Forced tier placement
- Banned player list
Checking a player's past (forced tier placement, the Tier 1 cap, known bad actors): search their UID or name on Players. It shows every season they've played, on this site and in the old sheets from S4 to S10 and All-Star, under every name they used. Old rows with no UID are marked "name only": likely the same player, not certain.
What still needs you: Known bad actors (always yours), and anything the portal found but cannot judge: a tag written differently, a Discord account under 90 days old, a banned player's name on a different account, or a returning team with a new name. Its note says what it found. If you decide a check yourself, the portal never changes your decision.
Captains follow their team on My team (the public site, /team): its status, your reason when you send it back, who still has to link Discord, and a form to ask for a roster change. Requests arrive in the Flag queue as "Roster edit request". Make the change on the team's Roster tab, then press Done, change made (or Not making it, with a reason). The captain reads your answer and note on My team.
A team can only be confirmed once every check has passed. If something needs fixing, use the roster edit on the same screen (every edit asks for a reason and is kept), or reject the team with a reason the captain will see.
Then give every confirmed team a slot on Slots. Check slots carefully: the results screenshot says "TEAM21", and the portal gives those points to whoever holds slot 21. When slots are final, post them from the Outbox (Post Tier N slots).
Helping captains and players
Players do everything themselves on the public site. When someone asks for help, this is where to send them and what they'll need. Links below open the public pages.
| They want to | Send them to | What they need |
|---|---|---|
| Register a team (captains) | Register | Sign in with Discord. Team name, clan tag (the tag every player shows in game) and tier. 6 or 7 players, each with their UID, their IGN exactly as in game (symbols and all), country and device (mobile or tablet). The captain must be one of the players. |
| Link their Discord (every player) | Link Discord | Sign in with Discord, be in the SSR Discord server, then enter their UID. Their captain must have registered them first. Everyone must link before Day 1 to play. |
| See how their team is doing | My team | Signed in with the Discord they linked. Shows the team's status, your reason if it was sent back, and who still has to link. |
| Change the roster after submitting (captains) | My team, Ask for a roster change | Say what to change: add, remove or swap a player, fix an IGN or UID. New players need their UID, exact IGN, country and device. You answer it in the Flag queue (below). |
| Report a rule break | Report a rule break | Signed in, on a confirmed team, on the day until 23:00 CAT, with a screenshot (up to 4) or a clip link. |
| Check teams, standings or rules | Teams, Standings, Rules | Nothing: these are public. |
What players see on My team
- Being checked: you're still reviewing it. Needs a fix: you sent it back, and they read your reason word for word, so write it for the captain. Confirmed, Not accepted (rejected, with your reason) or Withdrawn.
- Still to do: only things the captain can fix (roster size, countries, devices, clan tag, Discord links).
- They never see UIDs, the ban list, Discord account ages, Tier 1 history or your notes on other checks. If one of those is the problem, tell them in your reason.
Answering a roster change request
- It appears in the Flag queue as Roster edit request, saying what the captain asks for.
- Open the team, make the change on its Roster tab (every change asks for a reason and is kept). A wrong UID is fixed by removing that player and adding them again with the right UID; look carefully first, because the UID is the account.
- Back in the Flag queue, press Done, change made (a note is optional) or Not making it with the reason. The captain reads it on My team.
Changes close when registration closes; after that it's Head Staff's call before Day 1. The FAQ promises a transfer window from Day 3: until that's in the portal, captains ask on My team the same way and Head Staff make the change.
Messages players see, and what to tell them
- "Registration is closed right now."
- No season is open for registration. Head Staff open it on Seasons.
- "Enter your team's clan tag"
- The tag is required: the tag every player shows in game, like NF in NF・Ʌce.
- "That does not look like a UID"
- The UID is the 18 or 19 digit number on their CODM profile. Numbers only, no spaces.
- "The player with UID … is already on another team this season"
- One person, one team a season. Look the UID up on Players to see which team has them, and sort it out with both captains.
- "The IGN … looks the same as a player already registered"
- Two names that look alike (SSR names use lookalike symbols). Check on Players that it isn't the same person, and ask the captain to confirm the exact name.
- "We could not find UID … on a team this season"
- On the Link page: their captain hasn't registered them yet, or typed the UID wrong. Look it up on Players. A wrong UID is fixed by the captain asking on My team.
- "Your Discord account isn't in the SSR server yet"
- They join the SSR Discord server, then sign in again on the Link page.
- "UID … is already linked to another player"
- Someone else linked that account first. It lands in the Flag queue as a contested claim. Head Staff check who really owns it, press Reverse the first claim, and the real owner links again at Link Discord.
- "This Discord account is already linked to another player"
- Their Discord is already on a different account. If both accounts are really theirs, Head Staff link them as one person on Players (Link another account to this person).
- "You are already on a team this season with another account"
- One person, one team a season, whichever account they use.
- "I changed my IGN"
- That's fine: results follow the UID. If a new name doesn't match on a results screenshot, it comes to the Flag queue and you pick the player once; the portal remembers the new name.
- "I can't report"
- See When something goes wrong.
A game day, start to finish
| When (CAT) | What happens | You |
|---|---|---|
| Before 20:00 | Hosts make each tier's room in CODM | Type each room on Rooms |
| 20:00 | Room details post to Discord by themselves, pinging each tier, and players see theirs on My team | Share to WhatsApp from Rooms |
| 20:15 | Game 1 starts. Games 2 and 3 at about 20:40 and 21:05 | |
| After each game | Screenshots of the DETAILS and RANK tabs | Record the game on Results |
| During the games | Names that didn't match go to the Flag queue | Resolve flags (aim: within 10 minutes) |
| When a tier's 3 games are in and its flags are clear | That tier's results graphic posts to Discord by itself | Nothing |
| Until 23:00 | Players can report rule breaks | Rule on reports |
| When every tier is posted | A short "day wrapped" post goes out | Nothing |
Recording a game
- Open Results. Pick the day, the game and the tier.
- Choose the screenshots: the DETAILS tab and every scroll of the RANK tab, exactly as the game saved them. Don't crop or edit them. Press File and read.
- The rows fill in: place, TEAM slot, kills, time. Check them against the DETAILS screenshot. Fix anything wrong by typing over it.
- Check the players part. Most names match on their own. Names it isn't sure about are hinted: Accept all likely accepts every safe hint at once. Pick the rest from the list, or mark "Not on the roster".
- If a team is missing from the screenshot, tick that you've seen it: a missing team gets no result for that game, never a zero.
- Press Record Tier N, day N, game N. Done. The game is in, the points are added up, and the player kills count.
Recorded a wrong number? Under the recorded game, each player row has Correct (with a reason). Kills on DETAILS and RANK must add up; if they don't, the portal asks why and flags it.
Reports, penalties and DQs
Players report rule breaks on the public Report page, with proof, until 23:00 on the day. New reports ping the staff alerts channel on Discord and wait on Reports.
- Uphold with a penalty opens the Penalties screen already filled in from the report. Check it and record: the report is upheld and linked.
- Uphold, no penalty for a warning.
- Dismiss with a reason. The player who reported reads it, so write it for them.
On Penalties (pick the season, day and tier):
- Rule break: pick the kind. For a banned weapon, add each team it killed and how many kills: the portal does the maths (15 off per kill, 15 back to the team hit). Every rule break posts to Discord by itself.
- Disqualify for a game: that team scores 0 for that game only. It can be lifted.
- Additional points: points you award, for example after a lobby problem.
- Anything can be undone with a reason. It stays in the list, crossed out.
Discord and the Outbox
The SSR bot posts for us: room details, day results with the graphic, rule breaks, the day wrap-up, slots, and alerts for new reports. It also gives out Discord roles and opens check channels. You don't do these by hand any more.
- Outbox shows every post and what happened to it: waiting, sent or failed. A failed post says why (usually a missing channel in Discord settings); fix that, then Retry.
- To post again after a correction, use Post day results on the Outbox.
- Discord settings: which channel each kind of post goes to. Test mode sends everything to the bot-testing channel and pings nobody: use it whenever you're trying something.
- WhatsApp: on Rooms, Share to WhatsApp sends a tier's room (or all tiers at once). On the Outbox, a sent day result has Share to WhatsApp for its graphic. On a phone it opens the share sheet; pick WhatsApp and the group.
Room details
- Head Staff set the day's date first (Seasons, Day dates).
- On Rooms, pick the day and type each tier's room ID and password (the CODM invite link is optional). Any staff member can do this.
- It posts to the room-details channel at 20:00, pinging that tier. Changes before 20:00 just change the post. A change after it went out posts again, marked "updated". Saved after 20:00? It posts straight away. In the rare case a room must go out early, use Post now instead of 20:00.
- Players on confirmed teams see their tier's room on My team from 20:00, with tap-to-copy and a Join button.
Discord roles
- Every player who has linked Discord, on a confirmed team, gets Comp Player and their tier role. Captains also get Team Leader. It happens by itself as teams are confirmed and players link, and roles are taken back when a team is withdrawn or rejected or the season ends.
- The league only takes back roles it gave. Roles you hand out by hand are never touched.
- Nothing changes while test mode is on. Roles in the Discord settings must be set: Create missing roles makes them for you.
Device, location and livestream checks
- On Registrations, open the team, then the Player checks tab.
- Pick the kind and the players, add a note if useful, and press Open the check. The bot opens a private text and voice channel that only those players, their captain and staff can see, and posts who is being checked.
- Players who haven't linked Discord can't be let in: the channel says so, and their captain is in it to bring them.
- When it's done, press Passed, Failed (with what failed) or Cancel. The channels are removed; the result stays on the team.
Transfers, strikes, bans and the end of the season
Transfer window
- During the season players can only be added or removed while the transfer window is open: from Day 3 until Day 4 starts, worked out from the day dates. Fixing an IGN is always allowed.
- Head Staff can force it open or closed on Seasons (Transfer window: Auto, Open now, Closed).
- Captains ask on My team; you make the change on the team's Roster tab. Every in-season transfer is posted to the transfers channel by itself.
- A player who has played a ranked game in one tier is tier-locked: the portal refuses to add them to a team in another tier. Never more than 7 players.
Strikes
- On Discipline, Head Staff give a strike to a team with a reason. It is posted to the strike list.
- A third strike puts "Three strikes: season ban due" in the Flag queue. Apply the ban: withdraw the team (Registrations, with the reason) and, if the ruling covers players, ban them below. Then resolve the flag.
- A strike given by mistake can be withdrawn with a reason; the correction is posted too.
Bans
- Bans are on the account (UID): an IGN can change, the ban still holds. Add one on Discipline with the ruling and how long. It is posted to the bans channel with the UID (the only place a UID is ever posted).
- Registration checks flag a banned account straight away, and a banned player's name on a different account.
- Untick Enforced while a ruling is still being decided (the REBELS rows are like this). Lift a ban with a reason; that is posted too.
Ending the season
- When Day 5's results are in and every flag is cleared, Head Staff press Mark season complete on Seasons.
- The portal decides promotion and relegation (top 4 up, bottom 4 down, Tier 4's bottom 4 out; only teams ranked on 4 of 5 days count), shows it on Seasons, and next season's registration checks use it.
- The final standings and kill leaders for each tier post to Discord by themselves, with a "season complete" summary naming the champions. Season roles come off by themselves.
When something goes wrong
- A team's results went to the wrong team
- Its slot is wrong. Fix the slot, then ask Tristan: recorded games keep the slot they were recorded with.
- The screenshots read badly
- Type the rows yourself; the screenshots are still kept as evidence. Reading is a helper, not the decider.
- A day's results didn't post
- Check the Flag queue: results wait until that tier's flags are cleared. Then check the Outbox for a failed post.
- A player can't report
- They must be signed in with the Discord they linked, on a confirmed team, on the day before 23:00, and the day must have a date (Seasons, Day dates).
- A captain says nobody answered their change request
- Check the Flag queue for their Roster edit request. Once you press Done or Not making it, they see the answer on My team.
- A team can't be confirmed
- Open its Checklist: the checks that need you are listed first, and automatic ones say what they found. Every check must be pass or waived.
- "Another season is already active"
- Only one real season (and one practice season) can be open or active at a time. Move the other one on first.
- Anything else
- Read the red message first, then ask Tristan. Nothing you do here can't be undone.
Words we use
- UID
- A player's CODM account number (18 or 19 digits). It never changes. Players can have more than one account.
- IGN
- In-game name. Players change it often; the portal keeps every name an account has used.
- Slot
- A team's number in its tier (1 to 25), the "TEAM21" on the results screen.
- DETAILS / RANK
- The two results tabs: DETAILS has team placings and kills, RANK has each player's kills.
- PP, KP, TP
- Placement points, kill points (2 per kill), total points.
- Flag
- Something the portal wants a human to look at.
- Practice season
- A training season players never see, posting only to the test channel.
